Abstract


The level of application of marble products is closely connected to the quality of machining, that is measurement accuracy and the quality of the machined surface. The technological basis for economic marble machining implies a thorough understanding of the interaction which occurs between the abrasive grain an the marble material. The paper presents the results in the area of filings which form during micro cutting, as well as the analysis of the change of cutting force and the grinding wheel profile, relative to the change of machined elements, during Perlato marble cutting.
