Abstract

Amathematicalmodelandalgorithmofsimulationofcontourmillingbyendmillsisdeveloped. Amathematicalmodel takes into account complete geometrical configuration of instrument, namely, provides possibility of change of angle of slope of spiral ditch, amounts of points, possibility of the use of arbitrary contours of detail and workpiece. The created software allows not only to simulate a milling process but also determine a control of feed for stabilizing of cutting force. Design results are confirmed experiments on the CNC-machine VF-3 HAAS.
