Abstract

The article focuses the theoretical and experimental method of determining the parameters of the machining surface of a metal sample diamond smoothing. Due to the given mechanical properties and geometric dimensions of the sample it allows to get estimations of scattering of mechanical energy and to solve the inverse problem of determining the necessary operating characteristics of the material on the basis of the theoretical model. Free transverse damped cantilever of the clamped sample was used to verification the theoretical calculations.
