The results of investigations for kinetics of briquetted powdered modifier of different composition, produced at different pressing pressures dissolution are presented. It is shown that increasing of briquette porosity results in essential reduction of material thermophysical properties, that inhibits its heating and dissolution, as well as the integral parameters of interparticle contact toughness of the modifier material, which results in acceleration of briquette destruction process in a melt, but intensity of dissolution is stipulated by dominant influence from one of these factors.
