STATIC CHARACTERISTICS AIR-DRIVEN CONICAL TURN-ON OF SPINDLE ASSEMBLY WITH LONGITUDINAL SLOTS THE RIBLE DEPTH

AbstractWe consider the gas pneumatic suspensions spindles and their static strength properties. The comparative characteristics of the suspensions with tapered grooves of constant and variable depth. The dependence of the static characteristics of the angular and radial displacements for the pneumatic suspension conical spindle assembly with grooves of varying depth. For a conical turn-on with longitudinal slots the depth of which diminishes with the step of gas flow the dimensionless structural parameters of slots which provide the increase of radial elevating power on 36% are found, if the corner at the top of cone is α=20 and on 40% if α=60 in comparison with conical support with the slots of permanent depth at the almost identical charges of gas. Increase of economy of gas supports with longitudinal slots due to decreasing expendables of gas and increasing power characteristics of supports by the use of slots of variable depth. Calculations showed that the use of longitudinal slots of variable depth was instrumental in increasing a carrying power and recuperative moment at the angular moving of shaft at decreasing dimensionless expendables of gas.
