The efficiency of technological processes of metal forming depends on the form and dimensions of the billet. The use of billets with minimum requirements promotes efficiency of production. For determination of such purveyance the concept of the effective adapted billet (EAB) is entered. General requirements for billets are high productivity and ease of preparation. This refers to the technological processes of rotary forging. Rotary forging takes place at an eccentric application of technological effort. Therefore, there are additional requirements to the characteristics of the billet. Aim of this article to define ways to use pieces of minimal cost. The experimental results of rotary forging of billets are analyzed with different sizes. The most effective ranges of relative sizes are certain. Technological processes are proposed rotary forging in that not required the specially prepared billets. Their use ensures maximum efficiency and productivity, and also the minimum cost of the product. The article is the result of experimental and theoretical researches which are conducted on the department of mechanics of plasticity of materials and resource-safe processes of the National technical university of Ukraine «KPI».Published
