Abstract

A phenomenon of the harmonic wave propagation through an unsupported beams of periodic structures is investigated. Two beam configurations are considered: with partially constant cross-section and with cross-section that continually varied along the beam center line. Frequency passbands for both beam configurations are determined and comparative analysis of its distribution is performed.
