Abstract

The parameters of quality of the machined surface are investigated depending on its location in the depth of gas-thermal sprayed coating. The changes of the properties of the coatings on the parameters of roughness Ra, the microhardness H, cutting force P are showed. It also given the structure of the coating, which shows that the near-surface layer of  20% of coating thickness is defective. The above-mentioned layer is recommended to remove during the machining as an allowance which permits to get a working surface of parts with improved mechanical characteristics.
